A Legendary San Francisco Media Personality is still Missing
The San Francisco Police Department has requested the help of the public in locating a legendary radio and television personality. Jeffrey Vandergrift who is better known as JV, is the host of "The JV Show" on the San Francisco Radio station Wild 94.9. He has been missing since Thursday night. He was last seen on the 200 block of King Street in San Francisco and if you see him, please call 911.
According to his bio page, Vandergrift started his media career at the age of 25 hosting the “Check-in With Wild 94.9’s JV” on KRON Channel 4 in San Francisco. He soon started The Dog House radio show which is still the highest-rated show in the history of San Francisco radio.

After some controversy, he took a hiatus to New York and eventually came back and now hosts the JV Show on Wild 94.9. JV’s model Natasha Yi is also a part of his show and she has over 18 million followers combined on her social media pages.
With much speculation, JV left the show in 2021 but returned in April of 2022 and said that he had a severe case of Lyme disease. His symptoms included brain fogginess as well as periods where he thought of self-harm. His openness about his battle to fight the disease garnered praise from fans and colleagues alike. The San Francisco Police Department states that Jeffrey is Caucasian, 6 feet tall, and weighs 180 pounds. He has tattoos on both arms and above his right ear. He is bald with brown eyes.
