I'm trying to be open-minded, but...

…what are all these Republicans doing on Chris Hays’ show? Michael Steele is hosting and interviewing Mona Charon and Jennifer Rubin. Too many Rs in the same place make me very nervous, especially when they are in Democrat-friendly territory.

Kind of like the Lincoln Project folks, no longer identifying as rethuglicans.

I guess Velshi and Jason were busy?

I don't mind Michael Steele, but I hope MSNBC isn't thinking about giving him a primetime slot. The only former repub I would tolerate in the evening would be Nicolle W. But I wouldn't watch anymore. Her timeslot is perfect as is.

and my father. Trust me, republicans can see the light and turn very liberal in their own time.

I'm not a huge Michael Steele fan because he seldom has anything interesting to add to the conversation but that is not true of the others including Rubin.

You should listen to what they say and watch what they do and make up your mind as to whether they are worthy of your time. Otherwise you are guilty of the same prejudice as they are.

Try listening to what they say, you are acting like they are MAGA. They very clearly aren’t.

In February 2018 she was invited to participate in a CPAC panel discussion. Her comments, which elicited boos and jeers from the audience, included the following:

I am disappointed in people on our side for being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women, who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their extramarital affairs, who brag about mistreating women—and because he happens to have an 'R' after his name we look the other way ... This is a party that endorsed Roy Moore for the Senate in the state of Alabama even though he was a credibly accused child molester. You cannot claim that you stand for women and put up with that ... Speaking of bad guys, there was quite an interesting person who was on this stage the other day. Her name is Marion Le Pen. Now, why was she here? Why was she here? She's a young, no-longer-in-office politician from France. I think the only reason she was here is because she's named Le Pen. And the Le Pen name is a disgrace. Her grandfather is a racist and a Nazi. She claims that she stands for him. And the fact that CPAC invited her is a disgrace. -- Wikipedia

I did listen to them. Have a little respect for others' intelligence and experience. I know exactly who these people are -- THAT's why it makes me nervous to see the 3 of them, REPUBLICANS on the Chris Hays set together. However, they were talking about the Republican primary, so I guess they were probably appropriate for that segment.

..the crazies and the normies (Charlie Sykes phrase). Normies like Steve Schmidt, Geo Conway, Rick Wilson, Nicolle Wallace, Michael Steele do not necessarily care for Democratic politics but are still staunch supporters of the Constitution and the democratic process; but recognized early on Trump was a fake, then saw the clear and present danger he poses as a wannabe autocrat.

Whether or not their presence on liberal political media platforms has a significant effect on MAGA voters, probably not. They don't watch liberal political media platforms. The last two elections confirm that. There aren't enough normies voting to create a respectable majority.

...I'm also aware that Moscow Mitch is part of the "Normies" now...so I guess I'll never trust any of them...well, maybe Nicole. She has definitely come to her senses. When a former Repug can say on air, "The Left was right all along..." I think that may be an actual conversion.
