9. I think the definition

of 'accosted' has always included an (unsolicited and unpleasant) verbal exchange. But that's about the only thing in the OP that doesn't square with me.

(I'm admitting to being one of those namby-pambys that don't care for this practice in general. Just as I think it's slightly creepy that some people think it's OK to approach/interrupt the famous when in a private setting. I would simply never presume that was welcomed, or civil behavior.
