(5 posts)I've been at this politics work since 2003 with Howard Dean so I can't tell you the year this happened. But the Foo Fighters were playing at what I'll always call the Starplex in Dallas. Dave got word to the Dallas County Democratic Party that if we'd work to register voters, we could stay and enjoy the concert. That was the beginning of my admiration for this man. His drumming, writing, and playing the shit out of a guitar has always had me enthralled. His mom is a teacher and she obviously raised an incredible son. From her example, he's become a really great papa. Now, to see that he can smoke a brisket with that beautiful smoke ring and keep it all juicy...my heart just grew another two sizes. When my husband does the 30hr job of smoking/sous vide'ing/finishing a brisket, it's really hard to share it. Dave is such a giving soul.
