The very closest I've seen to "destruction" is that oft-played clip of Gym Jordan stammering his way through trying to answer when he spoke to Trump on 1/6. That was at most a tiny bruise for all it hurt Jordan -- who, after all, won reelection and is now more powerful than he was before being "destroyed".

Bad actors are clearly ducking and evading questions every day of the week, but most of the time they manage to create something that will play to their base, if no one else, and they're quite happy, undestroyed, and unhumiliated by that.
