(27,891 posts)The price is higher at Kroger.
SheltieLover
(81,715 posts)The only other 2 choices here, sadly. 😏
Btw, Aldi had the baseball kitty houses on another clearance last week for just under $5. I thought of you when I saw them.
Siwsan
(27,891 posts)Arthur knocked out the window frames and chewed on the doorways. Then I think they got into a wrestling match INSIDE of the house and it collapsed. I still have it and might try a repair.
Carys LOVES the big 'egg' bed I bought at Aldi for the boys. It is grey so she thinks she blends in.
It's sure not very sturdy. Lol
Arthur...
I put mine together & gave to the new little kitty who is living in a separate room. He's doing better, btw, now allowing me to pick him up & set him in my lap. And he will stay in my lap for a good 10-15 min. Rumbling like a freight train. Lol
Siwsan
(27,891 posts)And she jumped up on my lap for some cuddles.

(81,715 posts)I'm considering asking the rescue to find him his own forever home.
He is like a sponge for attention & I only have so much time. I'm feeling like he deserves more. To be a constant part of daily life in a loving home & he's FIV+ & I have my senior rescue queen who HATES that there is another cat in the house. Sometimes she sits outside that bedroom door & just hisses at the new kitty. He doesn't seem to understand, as he just purrs in response.
Dunno what to do...

(134,034 posts)weird when cage free organic brown eggs are cheaper at my Natural Grocers than at the local walmart.
SheltieLover
(81,715 posts)I didn't look at eggs, but a bag of bagels was nearly $5. At Aldi $1.98.
niyad
(134,034 posts)12.98 at wal-mart. 7.99 at King Soopers, for just one example.
SheltieLover
(81,715 posts)Everything is super high priced there.
I wish I had more choices, but this red state is literally like living in a 3rd world country.
niyad
(134,034 posts)everyone.
SheltieLover
(81,715 posts)And people here have no choice.
The closest Aldi is 12 mi. Each way. But I go there.

(51,308 posts)I've got an Ameraucana and an old lady Plymouth Rock. One lays a turquoise egg and the other a brown.
They're good layers...maybe we're working up to the proverbial golden egg
I haven't bought chicks in a few years; I wonder if the price has increased.
niyad
(134,034 posts)winter here!
BlackSkimmer
(51,308 posts)reason. They're free range, so every day is an egg hunt. I've always enjoyed that, though it can be annoying if one of my dogs finds an egg first.
I adore my ladies.
hippywife
(22,777 posts)They've been $7.82 for a long time. They went down to $4.86 last week and now, they're $3.56. (These are WalMart prices. Hate shopping there, but not much choice.)
TlalocW
(15,675 posts)"They should cost a hundred dollars each."
BlackSkimmer
(51,308 posts)Ain't nothing "chicken" about them.
The eggs are a wonderful side bennie, but I just love my ladies.

(17,728 posts)I paid $2.98 a gallon yesterday. Not a peep from the media about how low the gas prices are. I'll bet if it were $.50 a gallon they would still not talk about it because it's more exciting to rile up the public about gas and egg prices!
