(38,729 posts)Given that he's not dead yet despite his abuse of his liver, he will probably last another 5, 6 years. He'll see prison, albeit a token sentence.

(38,729 posts)His appeal will eventually be denied. He'll go to Club Fed and be released early, probably after 2 months. Then he'll brag about it.

(17,377 posts)is why he is in the US in the first place. He got out of China just ahead of being arrested. Take a look at the Wikipedia link in the OP. So while tfg and his inner circle have ties with China, they may be less more with China's "grifters" than government?

(4,913 posts)Trump pardoned him, but now NY prosecutors have indicted him for the same crime. Bye, Bye, Bannon.

(3,436 posts)I read an article a couple of months ago regarding the "partnership" between (I think) him, Steve Bannon, and "the laptop".

(12,667 posts)Uncomfortable with Guo touching him?
I think Bannon's bigotry and racism is showing?
But maybe I'm just reading too much into one picture.

(8,103 posts)as to body language. Don't misunderstand, but it looks so gay. Especially that left hand on Guo's own thigh/knee. His arm around Bannon's shoulder says, "this is mine," whether it was intended or not. Plus, Bannon seems softer. Maybe Bannon hasn't been hugged in awhile?
It's an odd picture. I thought I was probably the only one with this impression, yet I see that I am not. This is meme material.
This is not to say that guys in all walks should refrain from friendly hugs, but it's bizarre for Bannon. World would be better off if everybody got what they needed.
Bannon almost looks shy, doesn't he? And yet, lurking in that heart is hatred...

(6,922 posts)I recall reading that Guo and Bannon had something to do with either the dissemination of files from the laptop or the placement of files on the laptop.

(58,785 posts)apparently and purportedly from the laptop while Hunter used it, including "salacious videos and pictures," for Guo and his associates to spread.
Dozens of ex- U.S. intelligence officials signed a letter to the investigating committee saying the "Hunter's laptop scandal" had all the hallmarks of a Russian information warfare operation.
