And, away from the idea of individual freedom and individual responsibility. I'm sorry, I'm still trying to figure this one out. Did we suddenly wake up in a fascist state on Wednesday morning? Did I miss that Christmas was canceled? No one has come knocking on my door asking me to hand over any of my firearms. I am free to do what I want and am still responsible for what I do or do not do.
Away from capitalism, economic responsibility, and personal acceptance. If the free market exercised economic responsibility, please explain Enron, Tyco and the 100's of those little tiny Wall Street "faux pas" that have cost thousands of jobs, billions in "lost(stolen)" investment dollars, etc...?

My regret, Lord, is that our young people, including those in my own family, never will know what America was like or might have been. His regret is my wish. I would be ashamed if I left this country behind in the state that it is in, and where he would like to direct it.

In response to this, I have turned to my Bible and in II Peter, Chapter 1, verses 4-9 it says, “To faith we are to add goodness; to goodness, knowledge; to knowledge, self control; to self control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, kindness; to brotherly kindness, love.” II Peter, Ch 1 ver 4-9 discusses virtue so that we may participate in the divine nature. To escape corruption caused by evil (ver 4), to be good, be wise, have self control, to persevere, and to exhibit godliness(ver 5). To have mutual affection and love for ALL (ver 7). If one possesses these qualities, they will keep you from being unproductive in your knowledge of Christ (ver 8). If you do not have these qualities, you will end up nearsighted and blind, forgetting all that we have been taught.
These verses are a teaching of how not to be corrupted, but to be productive with your knowledge and in the end love ALL. To me it seems, he sees himself as a producer, yet those that may swing the hammer or drill the hole for his company are not producers, they are the takers. They a those who he graces with a paycheck, as he is the producer, not them. They just take.
Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build. We ask for your guidance in this drastic time with the drastic decisions that will be made to have any hope of our survival as an American business enterprise. A good CEO (like the one I work with) knows that a company is not built on money alone, but is born from great leadership, and those willing to raise up that company with a shared view and hard work of EVERYONE involved.

To me it would seem that his greatest fear is of narrowing the welath gap in this country. That he somehow HAS to be placed at a higher level than others as their great leader. The great provider, for those who just take from him. What a jerk.
