Trump's support in Iowa erodes

"Iowa Poll: Trump’s Republican support erodes as DeSantis' favorability starts strong"

"And the percentage of Iowa Republicans who say they would “definitely” vote for him if he were the nominee in 2024 has plummeted by more than 20 percentage points since June 2021. "

In reading articles and watching news segments covering DeSantis' trip to Iowa, coverage was mainly favorable. He drew crowds, got applause and standing ovations.

Things can change but as of now, I think DeSantis has a really good shot of winning the nomination. And I think that would be a good thing as TFG is a very sore loser who I doubt will play nice and support DeSantis if the latter were to win the nomination.

It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

Democrats have moved away from the state dictating its early primary schedule and I wouldn't be surprised to see Republicans do the same as well.

South Carolina ain't voting for DeSantis over Trump, and it will have a much bigger say in who wins the Republican nomination (just like it does who wins the Democratic nomination) than Iowa.

Huckabee (and Obama, really) in 2008, Santorum in 2012, Cruz (and almost Sanders) in 2016, Buttigieg in 2020, etc.

And I don't mean new as in young, but new as in they like to buck the prevailing trend and go with someone else. For non-incumbent presidents (duh), they have a pretty terrible track record at predicting the eventual nominee because of this penchant of theirs.

If he isn't the nominee, I think Rump will do his damnedest to burn that whole party to the ground. Remember Melania's words: "If you hit him, he'll hit back ten times as hard..."

shithole's cult is extremely violent. DeSatan's cult seems to be more timid.

Anywho, fist fights.

He believes he made him and I’m sure he believes he can unmake him.
