when he said that Reagan drew him to the republican party. I laughed because it was Reagan who convinced me to leave that party. Don't recall the exact date, but it was the day his SecEd, William Bennett, announced the administration's intent to start pulling funding from public education. That just sounded way too much like a plan for national suicide. And given the repubs who have won election the last few cycles, it damn sure looks like their reliance on under-educated voters has paid off. If this guy runs, he can count on my vote going elsewhere.
