Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI disagree w/Lawrence O'Donnell -- "pro-life" zealots should not be re-labeled as "anti-abortion".
There are any number of publicly known and acknowledged examples of right-wing GOPers and/or evangelicals who have paid for, vigorously encouraged, or otherwise enabled abortions on the part of their own daughters, current wives, first wives, second wives, etc., and perhaps the biggest category of all, mistresses. They are not opposed to abortions when they benefit women within their own inner circles. They are only opposed to abortions when "undeserving" women -- i.e., women they don't know -- seek them.
The Pro-Choice forces were entirely correct in choosing that name for themselves. Now they (and we) need to emphasize the fact that what distinguishes, indeed characterizes, the opposition, is exactly and precisely that they are ANTI-CHOICE, and that is the label which is most justified in referring to them.
My two ¢s.

This is a distraction that isnt needed. Google it yourself. Not every opinion and comment on DU needs a link or substantiation. Some things are just known.
Shall we start with Tim Murphy of PA and Herschel Walker?

GOPers tend to get caught lying about such things, everyone shrugs (because "all" politicians lie) and it gets forgotten in the next news cycle, except for high-profile cases like Herschel Walker.
In fact, Googling "Republican paid for abortion" gets dozens of duplicate stories about Walker, drowning out most other, less recent, examples.
At least one author for the Guardian did provide a *short* list of examples of Repug hypocrisy on the issue, but more are needed -- we need a RepublicansSoughtAbortions.com or #RepublicansSoughtAbortions -- those could prove handy campaign resources!

Nobody sets out to need an abortion but sometimes it's necessary to have that choice.
