Whenever I hear someone on TV say that Trump is "shrewd" or "crafty" or "extremely talented"

about generating publicity, I reflexively roll my eyes.

The man is not "shrewd, etc."--- he is vicious, shameless and outrageously despicable. Pair that with a shallow, lazy and cowardly media and "shrewd" is what "plops out". (visuals intended)

…self-promotion and self-protection, and he is, unfortunately, very good at those.

He has con man street smarts, nothing more.

He’s adept at putting his toes right up against the red line, but I think he’s overplayed his hand now. He’s got no hole cards left and he reeks of desperation.

to attribute 'genius' or 'talents' or 'political instincts' - to an individual who is so clearly a caricature of dysfunction and undisciplined bumbling incompetence. Please, do show me these achievements, successes, personal attributes ..

Why do people continue prop up this notion that Trump is somehow charismatic, or talented? (or some sort of outsized Titan?) Where? When?
