Proof that Republicans are soft on crime?

Just look at how they defend Donald Trump or remain silent.

They support criminals.

Shouldn't this be a campaign issue?

support the criminals from 1/6. Some republicans even went to visit some of those criminals recently in prison and then said they were political prisoners. Ridiculous. They broke into the capitol and destroyed many things and broke into offices. They beat up police officers.
Yep I would say republicans support criminals, especially that one known as Trump.

...it means they're hard on those that can't fight back easily as they criminalize anything they don't like.

They'll always ignore actual crimes done by their own.
