An indictment is just the tease that starts a painfully long, drawn-out process where the courts grant Trump every single delay tactic he can think of (possibly grumbling about it, but still giving it to him) leading up to a possible guilty verdict leading up to Trump being free as a bird until every painfully protracted appeal is pursued, all of this having a good chance of taking more years than Trump will have left in his life to serve some sort of cushy house-arrest sentence (if death by hamberder doesn't take him first).
