'He Betrayed Us': Why Trump's Call to Protest Is Flopping

Betrayed Us': Why Trump's Call to Protest Is Flopping

Read the last sentence of this carefully.

"While there were the usual mentions of “civil war” and apocalyptic language about using violence to “take the country back” that have become commonplace in far-right channels, polls in these groups asking if followers would protest for Trump overwhelmingly found their members opposed. While far-right groups see Trump’s possible arrest as a politicized prosecution, they mostly advised each other to stay home. “I think “protest” is bad advice from Trump,” read one post on a pro-Trump forum. “Unless you’re willing to actually and truly do an insurrection, taking all oppressors prisoner (or worse), there is no point to “protest” here.”

https://time.com/6264838/trump-protests-indictment-flopping/

They attempted an insurrection on January 6th.

This MAGATs post confirms this.

Also confirms what they had in mind for members of Congress had they not been stopped.

So much for Tucker Carlson's bullshit.

Republicans and some pundits are kidding themselves in thinking indictments and arrests will help Trump, it's a defense mechanism and a bad mistake.

I also think the GOP has way overplayed their hand on "Woke". What started as some legit responses to over the top cabncel culture has transformed into "everything I don't like is woke." The public is rejecting "woke" as an attack and polls are showing that part of the culture war is a losing issue for the GOP.

That is literally all he cares about. That and "ratings" with the crowds watching TV.

IF he is going to get arrested, I'm sure he envisions huge crowds with pitch forks and torches surrounding the place he will be arrested from.

As a matter of fact, it was well known. They just called us libtards, threatened people into hiding, said we had trump derangement syndrome and worse.

“Has he called for protests about these poor guys? No. But he’s calling for us to protest about his arrest,” another person wrote. “It doesn’t sit right with me.” Another user agreed: “He’s right. Trump betrayed the J6 patriots. How can anybody still support [him]?”

“Don’t expose your back, because Trump does not have yours,” one user on a pro-Trump social media group wrote. “And he never will.”

Alexander said he had spoken to Alex Jones, a prominent conspiracy theorist involved in the Jan. 6 rallies. “He’s not protesting either. We’ve both got enough going on fighting the government,” he wrote. “No billionaire is covering our bills.”

trump made chumps out of them and now they are whining. Cry me a fucking river.

trump demands complete loyalty to himself but will throw you under the bus faster than its wheels can spin.
trump wants your money because he won't spend his own. trump's promises aren't worth a shit.

They still think that there are tens of millions of people ready and willing to start a civil war against their perceived enemy of the day.

It's taking the dumb asses long enough, but it is finally dawning on them. I wish I could say they actually learned something. They'll just move onto their next facist king- DeNazi (R-FL)

The upside of that is, both trump and deNazi are from Florida, so they can't share the ticket.
