The ice cream company was sold to Unilever decades ago. So if you don't want to pay the extra cost for a premium brand, find; just don't think you're "boycotting" Cohen's opposition to US support for Ukraine by not buying it.

Quality of Ice cream did go down.

6. Kroger private label "private select" is pretty damn good

and for much less. They have a bourbon toffee that's amazing and doesn't stint on the butter fat.
This summer I'm going to try to do our own homemade ice cream. Hand cranked of course.
