NRA spent $17 million on election, lost EVERY SENATE SEAT THEY SPENT ON

NRA spent $17 million on election, lost

The National Rifle Association fired mostly blanks in the 2012 election, spending $3.4 million to oppose Democrats who won six key Senate races.

The NRA's PAC and its Institute for Legislative Action also spent $11.7 million supporting defeated former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and opposing President Obama, according to campaign finance data for the 2012 election cycle compiled by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics and its website, Opensecrets.org.

In all, the gun lobbying group spent more than $17 million on the 2012 presidential and congressional contests, $11.9 million opposing Democrats and $5.4 million in support of Republicans, according to Opensecrets.org.

The $3.4 million in the Senate races was targeted at three Democratic incumbents - Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Bill Nelson of Florida and Claire McCaskill of Missouri - and three Democratic competitors for open seats - Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, Tim Kaine of Virginia and Chris Murphy of Connecticut.

All six won their races against Republicans.

...the NRA supports pro-gun Democrats. Oh, if only Democrats were more pro-gun, then the NRA would support them just like Republicans?

that gun control wasn't an issue despite what the NRA says. Pres. Obama has done nothing for gun control, matter of fact, he's signed bills that expanded gun rights, CC in national parks, firearms in checked baggage on Amtrak.

Voters were not worried about any new gun control laws at all. The House is solidly in the Repukes hands, so, no new laws from that branch of congress and in the Senate, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is a solid pro RKBA Senator and he will never allow any gun control law to come to the floor for a vote.

The NRA shot themselves in the foot for no reason at all.
I saw an article where Sen. Feinstein has already called for a renewal of the AWB, any bets on how far it will get?

America wins. Period.

It's a devoted propaganda outfit that makes FOX News look fair and balanced by comparison.
