I'm a pretty empathetic person, and I really feel for liberal people, and vunerable groups living in Red States or red areas that can't leave. Or those who love parts of their areas for say, nature related reasons, long family histories etc, and stay bc of that.
I've traveled through some of those States but 40+ yrs back - so some might have been more purple to blue back then.
With Upper East Side I'm guessing that there were scattered Trump voters around the whole area that didn't concentrate in a more small area.
I was a bit surprised at the greenish area east of ? Broadway in the 30's & '40's. That's probably what I thought the UES would have looked like.

He also didn't get any votes from green card holders or people who didn't vote.
Of the people who registered to vote and cast a vote he won 83%.
Using the same metric Donald Trump only got support of 25% of the residents of the USA.
If these people state that you go on green and stop on red you have to check what is wrong with the details everything they say is suspect.

(1,531 posts)'Both men were shaped in part by the same event more than 30 years ago by the Central Park Jogger Case.
The infamous case of the sexual assault of a 28-year-old jogging in Central Park had strikingly different impacts on Trump and Bragg, with DjT making one of his first forays into politics by calling for New York to resurrect the death penalty, and Bragg, a teen living not far from Central Park at the time, later pointing to the wrongful convictions of five Black and Latino men as a reason he chose to become a lawyer.'
(From Time Magazine)
Djt, regardless of the DNA evidence later indicating those suspects' innocence, refused to accept this decision and continued to demand their execution.
DjT's hunger for racial violence has not diminished...it has accelerated.

(8,103 posts)No one is fooled by it being pictures side by side. In California, a ball bat is considered a lethal weapon, and use of one gets you enhancements. If I were Bragg, I'd be busy constructing another charge against Donald. I don't know how strong Bragg's case is, or whether he's fleshed out a felony against Trump, but Donald is making it easier for the Judge to increase his sentence based on witness and prosecutor intimidation.
This is appalling. No one should be subjected to this. I think Bragg needs to motion for some kind of relief, although I don't know what that would be. Can he get SS protection??

(8,103 posts)B works for me. Experts have explained the two part charges, from misdemeanor to an E level felony, which could get him four years. B states that the penalty would be automatically increased to the maximum allowed. So, by doing this stunt, trying to intimidate Bragg and his crew, Donald has enabled Bragg to argue at sentencing that Donald should be given the maximum sentence.
I don't care if his base thinks it's somehow cute, funny, or inconsequential. Without a blush on my face, I would tell the judge to give him the max based on his post and the baseball bat.
What a dumbass Trump is.
