Isn't what Trump and the MAGA party is doing "terrorism"? For reference:

"The FBI defines terrorism as the unlawful use or threatened use of violence committed against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

Isn't the current MAGA/QANON/ GOP a "terrorist organization"?

As "Tuckems" would say---"Just askin'!"

in a federal statute, there is no separate crime of domestic terrorism, although international terrorism is itself a crime. A member of ISIS or Al Qaeda could be convicted of the crime of terrorism, but while a member of the Proud Boys could be defined as a domestic terrorist, he can be convicted only of the crimes underlying the act and not of the crime of terrorism. https://www.voanews.com/a/usa_why-domestic-terrorism-not-specifically-designated-crime-us/6201836.html

They ban books like "The Handmaids Tale" because they fear young people will recognize how similar they act to the Taliban.

There have always been a few on the right that said the silent part out loud, but mostly those in positions of power have paid lip service to ideas such as equality and fairness. Now the restraints have fallen away. Watch for it to just degenerate further (though TFG is scraping the bottom of the barrel). There will be others popping up behind the orange shithgibbon.
