...........I'm trying to imagine ANY scenario where these texts and emails could contain ANY information that would help Trump's case. I think pretty much all the parties have already admitted the sex took place, the money was paid, and that money can be traced back to campaign funds.

Probably the only scenario I can dream up that helps Trump is if they're texts/emails from Trump himself to Cohen saying, "I specifically forbid you from paying this money." And you KNOW nothing like that exists.

Trump has denied the sex, the money being paid is irrelevant (Hush money arrangements are legal in NY), and where the money came from is in dispute.

Michael Cohen is a convicted liar. Then there is Trump... and there is Stormy -- a porn star.

Michael Avenatti Sentenced To Over Two Years In Prison For Attempting To Extort Nike And For Defrauding His Client

Avenatti ought to know that a bunch of what they were talking to Cohen about was the insurance, bank and tax fraud. Pomerantz said it was very complicated. Took them a long time to sort it out because for example, valuation of asset methods changed according to the needs and whims of Trump. Weisselberg wasn't playing along. Avenatti is stupid or bullshitting if he thinks they had 20 meetings with Cohen to talk about Stormy. At least Avenatti has about 20 years in prison to figure that out. I was pretty disappointed in his scam.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Avenatti

Avenatti pleaded guilty on June 16, 2022, and on December 5, 2022, he was sentenced by James V. Selna in a California court to 14 years in prison for wire fraud as well as obstruction against the IRS in their effort to collect $5 million in unpaid payroll taxes for Tully's Coffee.

On June 2, 2022, Avenatti was sentenced to four years in prison on top of the 2+1⁄2 years he is already serving after another fraud conviction.[122][123] Avenatti, registration number 86743-054, is currently incarcerated at Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, where he was scheduled for release in 2026.

I'm not sure how those sentencing time lines work out. The note at the bottom says he was sentenced to 2.5 years for defrauding Nike, 4 years for defrauding Stormy Daniels, and 14 years for defrauding other clients and the IRS. So according to Wikipedia at least, he will be getting out of prison when he's in his 70s.
