7. I can't see Trump going for an insanity defense.

First of all, there's no way he would ever admit he was defective in any way. His narcissism is much too deeply ingrained for that.

Second, the bar for a successful insanity defense is much higher than a lot of people realize:

Imo, he wouldn't be able to pull it off even if he wanted to (which he wouldn't).

8. It does seem too easy with the truly batshit behavior a good lawyer could point to.

You're right about him not being able to admit it.

Or is this a new one? They were subpoenaed Feb 22. in the federal case for 1/6/21.

11. They testified for the J6 Comm. but the issue back then and now is the "Executive Privilege" thing

and this latest court order requires that the whole laundry list of folks must testify in full without invoking "Executive Privilege" arguments.

The Feb. subpoenas were Jack Smith ones.

And I too was surprised as I had stayed up to watch Alex and was shocked when she ticked those 2 names off because the court ruling media coverage focused on others like Meadows, Cuccinelli, and Miller, etc.

10. What would they know about the payoff to Stormy Daniels?

Plus unless they were in the room with TFG and SD, their testimony is hearsay.

12. The court ruling had nothing to do with NY's Stormy Daniels case

it was part of the Jack Smith federal sets of subpoenas related to J6, where the first to fall was 45's lawyer Corcoran, who could no longer invoke "Executive Privilege" per one court order, and then a whole laundry list of others including Meadows, who NOW could also no longer invoke "Executive Privilege".

I'm thinking that although the DOJ team probably has quite a bit mapped out already, it will take them some time to get through that list to corroborate and/or get to the meat of the issues.

I know there are too many cases going on - NY (state - 3 of those), GA (state - 1), federal (multiple).
