So I am celebrating the Big 70 tonight.
Drinking a few beers....by myself. Had a medical review a few days ago and my PHP asked...do you have any issues? I said...."nope, I'm consistent....have been for the last 50 years of my life. My vices, my weight, and my outlook on life haven't changed."

They wanted me to travel 3 hours so they could celebrate my birthday. I told them tonight, no you can visit me and celebrate our continued good fortune of all being alive.
Thinking back to my grandparents....they were really old and they were 65. I remember my mom on her 70th and I told her how amazed I was that she was so much younger than her parents at this age. Time is a pretty strange concept.....
Mom passed at 73....she had ALS - her mind was sharp to the end, but her body completely failed her. I'd have preferred that she lost her mind first. 
The 1st 70 are a piece of cake...it's the next 70 that will be interesting.

Am usually awake late, but wake @ sounds of 'early birds' and return to bed!

He's a lot bigger now, like 1.5x the size...but still damn cute.

Having my kids celebrating it quietly with me, was all I wanted.
It's a good thing when your health is good and troubles are small!
A guy who was my boss in the late 80's and now works for my company shares the same BD. He's 10 years older, though. Still kicking it, but, as I keep telling him, I will never catch up to him!
