Three things the media should have their hair on fire about but don't seem to care much about

1) the climate crisis and the urgent need to decarbonize the economy (see the latest IPCC report)

2) Republicans holding trump above the law and threatening law enforcement

3) the Trump/DeSantis/GOP war on women, black people and LGBTQ

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE???

They want tax cuts.
They want America's Social Security to be privatized.
They want to kill FICA contributions by employers.

They get these things by having republican government. It's how gerrymandered "democratic" capitalism works.

Your points are absolutely valid but the only one of the three they are interested in is political crap. Trump WANTS to be in front a judge in handcuffs and they know it.

That said, covering important stories affecting viewers should be the priority of all good news outlets.

1) Nothing shall interfere with the left/right horse race.

If climate change was made a huge deal,it would benefit liberals

Holding pisshair accountable benefits liberals.

Same for number 3.

Their horse race model is supreme in their minds. It equals ratings.

Over the conservative attitude about the pending conservative debt ceiling disaster. Blindly blaming your “enemies” for everything wrong as is the gop play book is not a solution. Reading this post you can tell I’m Woke.

# 4 The top FBI agent in NYC in 2016 was on Putin's payroll. Charles F. McGonigal and he got the
NY Times to put on its front page there was no connection between Trump and Russia and then he
got the director of the FBI to bring up HRC and that phony ass email shit again. The Russian paying
McGonigal, Olge Deripaska was the money behind Tony DeDevolder (Santos) who job it is to be a
Chaos agent inside the House of Reps.

but can't seem to muster any urgency for the most pressing issues, same for the WaPo and my local paper... there still are people who apparently read long form reporting
