(13,283 posts)prescribed by the Constitution. But this is hardly equivalent to the spontaneous weeks-long protests by citizens in opposition to the government's attempt to quash democracy. And, it appears that Bibi is backing down under the pressure way before the next election is to take place.

Perhaps many Israelis grew up learning the history of fascism as it relates to their ancestors and they are not going to let anything like that happen to them.

Israel had its chance to get rid of Bibi and refused to do so. Both the US and Israel have too many hateful people who are free and willing to put more hateful people in positions of power and wealth. And both are paying for it by further harm to their citizens.
