Neither did the other millions of transgender people in this country. One did. Just ONE. I know the deaths of six people including three children doesn't matter to you. I know this is a moment you were waiting for to continue on your hate brigade towards us and now you have a golden egg to push it into even further extreme areas now.

You ignore its the guns, the easily accessible guns in America that leads to this. You also ignore that the majority of mass shootings are done by YOUR kind of people. Now I will not say every white man is a mass shooter, but every mass shooter is a white man.

I'm not gonna take responsibility for one individual for this evil act. I DO NOT CARE if they were a trans person. This community absolutely detests violence in any fashion as we just want to be left alone to enjoy life. But do NOT rope us in for one person.

You said that just perfectly, and brought tears to my eyes. Given the amount of hate in our world, I am always scared For the gay and trans people that I know, and I today am sickened by the fact that this one individual’s actions will be used as propaganda to spread even more hate.

I have come to understand that it takes an incredible amount of courage for a person to be true to themselves in the face of opposition and even hatred, not just from strangers but also often from family members, colleagues and those who one considers friends.

For a few years now, news outlets have been embargoing information about mass shooters who die committing their special crimes. The rationale is that by not publicizing those shooters, it robs them of the attention they were presumably craving when they went on their shooting sprees. I don't know how accurate that is, but I can see the point.

In addition to making Audrey Hale an avatar of trans people everywhere, we're going to know about her birth, upbringing, personal history, rising consciousness, transition, and life in near pornographic detail.

But the next straight white guy who dies while going on a shooting spree (over/under is 36 hours) will be quickly hidden away from public scrutiny, another lone wolf who was alienated from society today for some reason that will never be known.
