he resigned before it came out. My guess is that it was going to come out and he wanted to get ahead of it.

Too many people know him and makes it difficult to keep it secret. Which doesn't say much for his judgement.

as the agents in charge of various stations. He will have access to that information, but then again, so would the President or certain members of Congress if they requested it (this is based on having worked with a former covert CIA operative who later was on the staff of a member of Congress -- he had some pretty wild stories to tell).

I have seen this kind of suck up by ambitious men in both the military and the government lots of times before. They want their paths to glory smoothed by their spouse's family connections.

It's an old, old story...
