Last call for free covid tests.
My wife sent me out to get some today. I picked 8 up for free at CVS. As I understand it you can get 8 tests per month per person but the program will run out May 12. So if you start now you can still lay away 24 before the program is over. The program covers both Insured and uninsured at no cost. Drug stores in my area seem to have good supplies and they can also be ordered by mail.
I think I have the above details right but some may know better than I so I welcome any corrections. I think it's worth stocking up while the price is still zero. I really hadn't heard that the program was ending. I suspect there may be a big demand when news spreads that there is a May deadline.

1. Got a text earlier today from Walgreens asking if I wanted to activate my prescription
for Covid tests. I clicked yes. Then picked them up at the pharmacy a couple of hours later. 2 boxes each with 2 tests for free. Sounds like if I’d asked they might have given me more. Sister went to SVS and they gave her 4 boxes.
Does not hurt to keep them on hand. |

3. Here's the USPS link
The limit this way seems to just be 4 boxes. The CVS way must be a different program?

5. CVS is through insurance I believe
I got 8 last summer one month, but haven't bothered to get more. I'll have to take them up on that.

9. That's a good plan, for those eligible for VA health care.
Free home tests, for the rest of us.

10. It's a good plan and better than Medicare. That is what this country needs.
We don't need Medicare for all, we need free healthcare for all.
