What do you think?
The Justice Department knows that.
But, the new President cannot pardon state charges.
That is why the NY Stormy Daniels case and the Georgia election fraud case are so important.
Trump cannot be permitted to get off with a stroke of the pen.

(21,298 posts)1. Merrick Garland has to make up his mind about indicting a former president.
2. If Trump is indicted a trial will not happen until after the election so a Magat president will install an AG who will be in charge of prosecuting Trump.
3. If the trial makes it through that road block and Trump is convicted he won't get any jail time for starters.
4. Of course a Magat president will pardon Trump.
5. TIME MATTERS.

(82,383 posts)such a person would have beaten TFG. Why make the news about TFG again? I don't think a Rethug President would want TFG to grab the news cycle yet again.
