The pin is more subtle, which is what some would prefer. It depends on how "in your face" one wants to be.

The only thing I'm concerned about is Repubs seeing the words "pro life" and using that as an excuse to start arguments about abortion, thereby creating a distraction from the assault weapons issue. I think that has the potential to become very counter productive.
