Could The Delay In The Hush Money Case

be to make it easier to sneak in djt’s perp walk? Or to avoid a J6 type of repeat? In other words, a smokescreen so the insurrectionists’ planning is confused, weakened & delayed? Just musing. The tinfoil gets to me sometimes. Your thoughts?

1. There is no delay. There never was one. Bragg never announced a schedule

of any kind to the public; the only person who ever said anything was going to happen on a particular date was TFG - and, of course, he was lying. He announced a couple of weeks ago that he was going to be arrested on the following Tuesday, which was based on nothing at all other than the contents of his colon. He was trying to stir up the MAGAts, raise money, and maybe try to goad Bragg into making an announcement (or scare him into dropping the case). None of it worked and there was no arrest, but TFG got the media all stirred up, which means its consumers got all stirred up, made to believe an indictment was imminent and freaking out when it didn't happen. Meanwhile, Bragg just kept calling more witnesses. Right now the grand jury is off for a few weeks' spring break for the convenience of the jurors and will reconvene. The break was already scheduled when the grand jury was first convened in January; the planned hiatus surrounding upcoming religious holidays and city public schools’ spring vacation was previously scheduled for the investigative grand jury, which was empaneled to serve for six months. https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/29/politics/trump-grand-jury-april-break/index.html

Maybe there will be more witnesses; maybe they will vote right away. But there is not and never was a delay because there was never a predetermined schedule for issuing indictments in the first place and therefore nothing to be delayed. TFG's gambit punked everybody who believed him. Nobody should ever believe him.

3. The protective effect

One result of having the public notified of extended delay in the Bragg case would be to create a 'protective shield' over the proceedings and the people testifying and dissuade violent attacks and media pressure.

If not for MSM flooding the media followed by social media churn and we have gotten all hot and bothered with the idea.

6. Second payment to another woman
Thu Mar 30, 2023, 03:08 PM
Mar 2023

The Manhattan grand jury that is considering whether to bring charges against Donald Trump for a hush money payment he allegedly facilitated just before the 2016 election is also examining a second payment made to a woman who claimed she had an affair with the real estate mogul,
Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg was expected to last week indict Trump for the payment to Daniels, but the decision has been pushed back repeatedly.

The revelation that the grand jury was hearing evidence of a second alleged hush money payment may explain the delay.

"Manhattan prosecutors investigating Donald Trump’s role in paying hush money to a porn star also have been examining a $150,000 payment to a former Playboy model who alleged that she had an affair with the former president, according to people familiar with the matter, raising the prospect that Mr. Trump could face charges connected to the silencing of both women.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office has been presenting a grand jury with evidence of Mr. Trump’s involvement in a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels since January. In those proceedings, the people said, Mr. Bragg’s prosecutors also have questioned grand-jury witnesses extensively about an earlier deal involving Karen McDougal, Playboy Magazine’s Playmate of the Year in 1998, who has said she began a 10-month relationship with Mr. Trump in 2006."
