The GOP's quarter century of presidential election fail

via David Frum:

In the quarter century since 1988, there have been six presidential elections. Only once—once!—did the Republican candidate win a majority of the popular vote, and then by the miserable margin of 50.73 percent.

He planted the seeds by using the southern strategy to it's fullest extent. He told welfare queen stories and invited the christian right in. The christian right is the taliban with suits. They racism and the nutjobs slowly took over the party until the became the regional southern party much like the dixiecrats.
Thirty years later a totally destroyed party.

Thank you Ronnie.
