(77,265 posts)...he could have done things legit, invested his inheritance, lived like an emperor and been an actual billionaire.
But, all his chicanery didn't even benefit him. He could have been much wealthier doing nothing.
He did it all the dirty stuff to no end.

(53,523 posts)But apparently he thrives on chaos and drama, plus he has "daddy" issues and has something to prove. It would seem that all he proved was he is as incompetent and stupid as parents believed he was. All his life he has set himself to fail over and over again.

(53,523 posts)He probably gets a huge dopamine high whenever he skirts the law or cheats people. As with any addiction, the high only lasts for a short time, so he has to keep feeding his addiction with bigger and better scams. Disturbingly, it took him right to the White House and it is terrifying to think what he would have done if he had another four years in power.

tale is told, the more likely it will go stale, but they won't admit that they backed a con man loser. Perhaps they'll be so bitter they'll either lash out or latch onto the next enemy finder their leadership brings forward.
If our side were to add up all the money he's made off them, and show it to them, they'd be secretly pissed. But what price, patriotism, right?

(17,147 posts)The half-staff period for the Nashville murders ended Friday night, per both U.S. and Florida directives.

(17,147 posts)The official period ran from Monday to Friday. According to the article in the OP, Trumps was only lowered after his indictment was announced.
The article in the OP got their information from Forbes. I just read the Forbes article, they got their information from the local Channel 10 News:
https://www.local10.com/news/local/2023/03/31/supporters-gather-outside-mar-a-lago-following-indictment-of-donald-trump/
Maybe Channel 10 was wrong. Maybe Mar-a-Lago didn't get the word about Nashville until several days after it was announced. Or, maybe it was lowered because of the indictment announcement.
Also, I don't think you support Trump, not at all. Playing devil's advocate is a good thing. I do it often. I think it keeps us all honest.

(17,147 posts)Everyone was supposed to lower their flags last Monday, for Nashville. According to the local news, his wasn't lowered until Thursday, just after he was indicted and more than 3 days after everyone else.
I wasn't referring to when the flags went back up.
My point was that they stayed down all over until at least yesterday.
sl8
(17,147 posts)The current version of the article doesn't mention when the flag was lowered.
Checking the Internet Archive, they have 10 captures of the article since March 30, showing major changes to the article, including removing the original reporters name from the byline and replacing it with 3 others!
I don't trust Channel 10 reporting about this nearly as much as I did this morning. Maybe the flag was lowered before Thursday.

Who knows what is real or not. Some of them try some of them dont. And with Trump, no matter how bizarre the claim, it just might be so.
