The Hamiltonian party makes too many deals with too many devils and the devils try to take over. The party collapses because the devils all despise each other.

With conservative people flocking into the Democratic Party, progressives become frustrated and strike out on their own, founding a new party centered around a few pet issues. Once those issues have been accomplished, apathy takes over and then the Hamiltonians move back in.

Hamiltonian parties are only successful as long as they stay small. Fortunately, they never learn this lesson and will continue to make deals with devils in order to gain power.

The current Democratic party is conservative enough to be the right governing party in a first world nation with self determination. We probably are already the 2nd most right wing governing coalition in the "free world" as it is.

The TeaPubliKlans are beyond useless and are pretty damned dangerous.
