If they kill large numbers of others on their leader's orders, though, as currently demonstrated by well over a million Americans dead from the pandemic holocaust they're still spreading, maybe they should be feared as an enormously dangerous authoritarian movement. Their potential has barely been tapped so far.

I was curious but couldn't find any recent poll or article about feelings about MAGA hats, or the red, but there were a lot of social media posts indicating fear of, or seemingly expected, negative reactions if they did wear them. And the numbers of ratings suggesting sales for MAGA hats on Amazon were far fewer than I expected. One vender did have over 8000 ratings, far, far more than any of the others I saw among many vendors. Our toaster has over 30,000.

One guy wore one around Orlando FL for a day in 2019 in order to write about it. It didn't spark any incidents, but lots of stares and glances flicking away made him very uncomfortable and want to take it off long before the day was over. He was asked to leave a store by security because he was making other customers "feel uncomfortable."

Btw, this guy also said he voted for his dog because he found tRump too "tRumpie" to vote for and Hillary "wasn't an option." Umhmm... I suspect if people had to wear their tRump vote on their heads in public he'd have gotten a lot fewer.
