In 1999 I received a gift of an Onion trilogy entitled Our Dumb Century wherein fake newspaper articles and front pages are presented with the usual Onion wit in extremis.

I ran across this and it got me to thinking about how some things never change. Note the reportage that says that a speedy trial should be had for the federal agents who gunned this psychopath down. Remind anyone about anyone in particular?

Sadly, in today's world, the actual news eclipses "The Onion" it is so surreal.
