Also, I'm not particularly well-versed in the legal field.

My opinion is from a layman's point of view.

I've seen about the worst shit there is on the internet, without being phased in the least. However, the infamous "baseball bat photo" affected me in a deep way. I viewed it as a profoundly dangerous terroristic threat.

As I type this, I don't think the judge will initially issue a gag order, but there is a small chance he will.

I think a gag order is appropriate, however. Once you start making terroristic threats in front of an international audience, you need to either shut the fuck up, or be locked the fuck up.

Period.

To me, there should be no dancing around what the actual issue is. There should be no hesitation to stop the further issuance of threats.

What tfg is doing is plain as day, and is not open to interpretation. It's right there in front of everyone. it's not veiled. He is making direct threats.

There needs to be a gag order, and there almost certainly will be one, because tfg will violate the rules the most self destructive way possible.

But even with all that has gone on to date, I don't think it will be immediate. I was listening to the latest Olberman podcast this morning and he predicted that the judge will put the threats and statements against the judge and the DA into the record and will start incrementally from there. Not going with an outright gag order, but starting with some initial limits. Which tfg will violate in full view of everyone, and then more limits and stricter consequences before a full on gag order. I agree with Olberman on this. The judge is going to give tfg enough rope to hang himself on this.

Gagging him could also inspire violence from those who might claim Trump's "rights" are being infringed.

We are living in dangerous times.

Donnie Jr, IMO, should be arrested immediately for his act of stochastic terrorism today. These are dangerous people and they are clearly becoming desperate.

While it is risky--and I admit that it is--letting Trump spew his venom is something that I think would allow his big mouth to harm his own cause and it might end up with him facing additional charges.

But I can't deny the risk of innocent people being harmed or killed. That's a legitimate concern.
