Bragg, 49, a Democrat, was chief deputy attorney general of New York state and oversaw several high-profile cases, including the conviction of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein on charges of committing a criminal sex act in the first degree involving one woman and rape in the third degree involving another. Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison.

(81,456 posts)And I dont give a rats patootie about ANY other story. I dont want to hear about world infertility or somebodys idea of a Jill Biden slight or ANY other side issue today. I want to see trump facing actual charges for the First Actual Time in his greedy, crooked, corner-cutting, manipulative, lying, deceitful, sneaky, duplicitous life.
NOTHING lasts forever. Not even you, donald.

(32,745 posts)... and the only reason I say that is because the charges are for things that Chump did before he became President. And yet, there's a mountain of evidence and testimony to prove his guilt. Maybe not every charge (there's reportedly 30 or more), but enough to take Chump down and out.
The other pending indictments from Georgia and DoJ also need to be heard and tried in court. Those charges will be for crimes he committed WHILE IN OFFICE. Not only Chump but his partners in crime, such as Lindsey Graham, Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani and others, it's going to take along time to get these criminals charged and off the streets.
Thank you DA Alvin Bragg, for not backing down and for doing the job you were elected to do!
