Just curious to see what others think.

Trump has been indicted. I never thought I would ever see this day. Will there be others? Will the fact that he got hit with this one make the prosecutors in the other cases against him bolder? Will Americans ever have the opportunity to see him as the evil enemy of all things American?

The DOJ and the State of Georgia will move forward with boldness, now that they've seen what indicting Trump looks like.
20 (71%)
This strengthens Georgia's case and their DA will now move forward in the shadow of this indictment.
2 (7%)
This strengthens the DOJ's case for seditious conspiracy and this gives them boldness to move forward.
1 (4%)
This weakens the other cases and they will back off so they don't look too "political" or like they're piling on.

He's on his way to prison.
5 (18%)
He'll figure out how to manipulate his way out of this one and use the other ones to his advantage.

Each of them is based on different criminal statutes, different witnesses and will proceed according to their own schedules and procedures.

Further any judge that takes conviction or acquittal elsewhere during the guilt phase is risking reversal and no judge wants that.

However, taking other convictions into account during sentencing is allowed, I think (guess).

But the media seems obsessed with this idea of a former president being indicted, and the ridiculous idea that while he was a sitting president, he was immune to prosecution for his crimes. That makes it sound like he ran for President to avoid prison.

I hope he doesn't avoid prison, but I do think this indictment will strengthen the resolve of the other prosecutors, and it may provide evidence to strengthen their cases as well.

The evidence in each case has little or nothing to do with any of the other cases. The fact that TFG has been indicted for falsification of business records re: the Stormy Daniels payoff is completely irrelevant to whether he tried to strong-arm the GA secretary of state into finding more votes, or whether he took and kept classified documents, or whether he incited the 1/6 insurrection. The cases have nothing to do with each other in the evidentiary or legal sense. Each indictment will stand on its own.

I suspect that Trump's incitement will remove any slight hesitation (or extra sense of caution) that other prosecutors may have in taking the unprecedented step of indicting a former president.

But, I don’t think the GA district attorney or the Special Counsel need assurance it’s ok to charge Dump. I think it’s just the difference in the facts and circumstances of their investigations.

... or some other BS sentence like "time served."

I'm not convinced that a judge (state or federal) will give him an actual prison sentence. But I hope I'm wrong.
The important thing is to get many convictions. Multiple convictions, so he can never run for office again.

Politically perhaps, but your poll responses say today’s indictment “strengthens” or “weakens” the GA and DOJ cases - how could it do that?

as he has with his case(s) according to his remit, applying the amazing skills he possesses, and courage to not be deterred by this circus clown how that occurred in NY. I have no idea how the GA prosecution will proceed if at all, given the extreme loyalists obstructing her there. My faith in Smith's acumen, experience with despots and skill set is where I'm tethering my expectations and my hopes.

xfingers he remains steadfast with his personal safety and health.
