So Protasiewicz wins, but looking like R might win WI Senate seat

All this talk of the R legislature turning around and impeaching her. Play it out for me…can Rs pull that off? Who would replace her?

So…F’n…infuriating! Talk me down someone.

They won’t get everyone in their party to go along for impeaching for zero reason.

Don’t count Jodi out yet. Still, I had expected her to not prevail.

10. Per the WI Constitution, Judges can only be removed by 2/3rds of both chambers

They only have that number in the Senate.

They can impeach Evers though, but then his Lt. Governor takes over, who appoints her own Lt. Governor.

It would be so politically stupid for them to start impeaching Democrats for no reason to cling to power when they just got destroyed in the Supreme Court race.

12. One thing I'm keeping in mind
Tue Apr 4, 2023, 11:15 PM
Apr 2023

The quote wasn't "We'll impeach him," it was "If they impeach him."

I think there would be a lot more hair on fire from party officials and newscasters if this was more than campaign rhetoric to get out the vote.

It's total fog of war about those precincts. I'm seeing some that there are 0 recorded votes in some of them, some that they are all Democratic, some that the Waukesha ones are red and the Milwaukee ones are blue...
I don't think anyone has any clue what is still out there, and that's why it hasn't been called...

Because I think they know if the gerrymandering gets undone they're going to be screwed for at least a decade.

They know they are a minority party and the only way they can maintain control is through gaming the system.
