I remember when Bill Clinton was caught cheating, there was an endless drone of media asking, "Why does Hillary stay?" It was literally on the cover of magazines.

Well Donald Trump has been caught paying off a porn star he had sex with when Melania was back in Flordia in the hospital recovering from the brith of thier child. He got caught paying off a Playboy model who he had a several years long affair with while married to Melania. And he got caught paying off a door man who had information about an illegitimate child Trump fathered with another woman he cheated on his wives with. This is all public and humiliating for his wife.

So where are the endless media asking, "Why does Melania stay?" And they also said, "What about poor Chelsea?" Well, what about poor Barron?

The pearl clutching over Clinton and Monica was epic. "I had to explain to my kid what oral sex was! Oh the huge manitee!" Well, parents are having to explain to their kids what porn stars are and why the former Preisdent paid one money to keep quiet. Where is the outrage from the pearl clutching set?

And it's not just the evangelicals being naughty. Mainstream ministers, priests and even popes have had scandalous sex lives, too. Lucrezia Borgia's father was Pope Alexander VI. Her mother was known as the main, but not the only, squeeze of Alexander, as in, he often had multiple mistresses at once.

Given that history, why expect christians to have a problem now with any of their chosen leaders being adulterers? The evidence indicates that they've rarely had a problem with it.

his second wife had more reason to believe Trump would cheat on her than any expectation he would be faithful. Hillary had far more right to be angry at her husband, both for his unfaithfulness and that he would jeopardize all their shared political goals. However, it was HER decision whether her marriage going forward was a net plus or minus. It is none of our business.

I DO agree that there is a huge double standard, but that was more in GOP voters accepting the gross Trump and Melania. The criticism of EVERY Democratic wife going back at least as far as the amazing Rosalyn Carter when all were very accomplished, credible women while ALL Republican wives have been praised and Melania is probably the strongest example of them accepting someone who is pretty unacceptable - with the base actually routinely calling her "classy". Consider that Hillary was too feminist, Teresa too foreign, Michelle unAmerican (which I think translated as too black - consider Melania plagerized Michelle's convention speech - so they were clearly ok with Michelle's values), and Jill Biden, who earned a PHD had the nerve to be sometimes called Dr Biden.
