You know the ones. They were relentless. "Get out and vote" tagged on everything.
"You make a good point, but get out and vote".
"Cute kitty picture, get out and vote."
"The world just ended...but, on the way to oblivion, stop and make sure you vote."
You Get Out the Vote peeps did an amazing job this election!! We owe you some thanks!!!
Hats off to you and a DU shout out from me (and whoever comments and recs too :0)

(276 posts)They tried. The actual margin of victory was much higher. But it was not even remotely close enough for the election fraudsters to pull it off without revealing their perfidy.
The OFA GOTV organization was incredible and it took every one of us to make sure that light and compassion won this referendum on what America is.

(22,681 posts)I did join as a volunteer. I knocked on doors, I spoke to people in both parties and I entered A LOT of data.
The double edged sword was having several red state DU'ers responding to these GOTV threads saying they were "going out to vote now." It did work, just like they said it would. And we did elect this grateful humble man as our 44th president...AGAIN.

(13,418 posts)vote. I voted the first day that OH polls were open.
And I met a woman who had lived in N. CA as I had. We had a great time talking about San Francisco. I rarely get to reminisce about those great days.
I took it as a sign that Obama would win.
