Shots fired at Williamson Co. home of founder of progressive 'TN Holler'

The Williamson County home of Justin Kanew, the founder of "The Tennessee Holler,” the progressive news site, was riddled with bullets hours after he recorded footage of the “Rally for Common-sense Gun Laws” on the Franklin public square.

His family, which was home Saturday night, was not injured.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the College Grove neighborhood, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating with the assistance of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Kanew is a former contestant on the CBS show "The Amazing Race" and a creator in the entertainment industry. In 2018, he ran for Congress as a Democrat.
