(73,620 posts)Last week, I spoke to a historical society about the border wars of the American Revolution. I had first became interested in the role a part of their town played back in 1965, and I dare say that I have gathered a significant amount of documentation in the years since. Plus I have 100+ artifacts from Mohawk leader Joseph Brant's camp.
I titled the presentation "Red, White, and Black: Critical Human Race Theory." Thus, I spoke of the three different peoples who were involved over several years at that site. And several times, I stated that these things should be taught in schools. That if one tells the truth about "race relations," students will get it. It is just some adults who worry that it hits too close to home.
