Why do corporations stay there? It's bad for business. Why do sports teams go there? It's bad for business. Why do music stars go there? It's bad for business.

If money started being drained from these states, you might see actual changes.

On that note, Taylor Swift is doing a concert in Nashville next month. If any of you are Swifties, try asking her to cancel that stop and go to another state.

Hold serious clout in Nashville.

Trisha is more likely to speak up, Garth is very reluctant to be political.

Someone posted somewhere that Taylor Swift should cancel her upcoming concerts - I would think that would make a huge impact.

Edit to add: the thread points out that it would be better if she used the concerts to advocate change; perhaps that is the better approach. BUT not go back until that change happens.

I remember the corporations and MLB when Georgia rammed through Jim Crow 2.0.

I remember how they were so "outraged" at the racism and fascism THEY STOPPED DONATING TO GEORGIA RETRUMPLICANS FOR ABOUT A MINUTE

For example: 700 WLW in Cincinnati has done nothing but spew racism, fascism, misogyny, hatred and white supremacy for over 40 years. 700 WLW also gets to promote itself as "The Flagship of the Cincinnati Reds, Bangels and "The" Ohio State University Sports Teams"

I guarantee you, 1000%, that there is a similar radio station broadcasting Tennessee sports in Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, etc. I FUCKING GUARATEE IT!

This is how a typical promo on Hate-Radio stations in every nook and cranny in this country might go:

"Stand by as Lebron James takes on Steph Curry in a pivotal NBA Matchup, but first, here's that old 'ditty' "Barack the Magic Negro" from the Rush Limbaugh archives" After the game, join Rush' replacement, Clay Travis, who will tell you how George Floyd should have "just complied" GO TITANS!

I will pass right out of the picture and eat my hat if there are any sustained boycotts impacting the economy of Tennessee, but I am confident my hat is safe!

Nothing will change! The racism, fascism, misogyny, hatred and white supremacy...NONE OF IT...will change, unless and until we make racism, fascism, misogyny, hatred and white supremacy unprofitable to the corporations, businesses and individuals that fund and enable it.

Don't play for southern NCAA Division I schools, especially those where football is god. Transfer, don't sign a letter of intent, and do what you have to do to get an education at another school in another state. Encourage others to take their athletic talents elsewhere and walk away from Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana. Cripple the athletic programs at their Division I universities and threaten their pipeline of alumni donations. Use your power and stop representing these states.
