(5,730 posts)but how exactly do we go about it? The pukes have a supermajority and the governor's mansion, so they do as they please.
There are so many here who would vote for ANYONE with a R on the ballot. And they clearly have done that.

(1,514 posts)To most Magapublicans, Jan.6.21 was a peaceful, patriotic protest. It consisted of nearly all- White men.
To Tenn. Magapublicans, a peaceful protest against gun violence is considered an 'insurrection'. The most prominent leaders of the protest are two Black men and a woman. The two Black men are expelled.
The three main creeds of Magapublicanism have now been blatantly displayed in one sweep:
Racism.
Support of Gun Violence.
Opposition to democracy and civil rights.

(22,174 posts)Especially since they kicked out ONLY the two black men. They might as well fly a Nazi flag ofer the state house and take down the U.S. flag.

(288 posts)The Republican Party has become a collection of full-on bigots, liars, and fascists. They attack drag queens reading books to kids as groomers, but when one of their own says he was forgiven by God for his molesting of teenage girls, that's just fine. After all, he's just a good ol' boy.
But then there is the ultimate violation of the Tennessee way - be a black man working for change. Do that and you are out.

(109 posts)After listening to the speeches both of the ousted representative gave, especially Justin Pearson, I am hopeful for our future and that there will be a way through this to good. Hopefully they are reappointed, or if not, reelected. Hopefully the court will find this to be the travesty it is. Remember the words of Admiral Yamamoto: I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.
Joy Reid and Lawrence ODonnell agreed last night that they had advanced onto the national stage a decade or more earlier than they would have had this not happened. These are the people we need
the age, the energy, the beliefs, the courage.
I, for one, would donate for either of these two bright and articulate young men to run for the U.S. House of Representatives- put them up next to any one of those who voted to oust them and I think you would see a one sided debate.
And all this from a 76 year old white woman
.keep up the good fight all!

(4,741 posts)The sentiment is fine but it's too jumbled and busy.
Memes work best with pithy verbiage. Here's an example of how to get that one down to size:
Today's TN GQP:
Protest gun violence: Expelled
Pedophile: Not Expelled
Says the same thing, and more eye-catching.
