Who remembers these two guys?

Stokely Carmichael and H. Rap Brown

They didn't go along with the "passive resistance" of the civil rights movement of that time.

Nobody was “passive” in the usual sense of the word. And even nonviolent resistance was just one of many strands of action. There was not a homogeneous strain of passivity “of that time”. Mucho oversimplification. And a bit of condescension.
