If arming teachers is the answer...

to gun violence in schools, then I think every innocent black person should be given a gun to keep the police from shooting and killing them.

It's only sarcasm because what I truly believe is that 99.9% of guns should be melted down and turned into electric school busses.

Even if they are deemed dangerous by misfiring - they're only recycled and passed on to do even more damage.

Some of us even have an active desire not to ever own one.

If you want to arm yourself, go right ahead. I couldn't stop you if I wanted to. It's a personal choice that you are entitled to make. But please don't even imply that this something we all must do, whether we want to or not.

I don't know if you actually meant to imply that, but I honestly wish people wouldn't even joke about it. I find it really disturbing when people do that, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels that way,

I'm simply pointing out the fact that MAGA nuts are generally armed to the teeth and that they usually prey on unarmed people when they go off.

I do not walk around everywhere carrying a gun and I'd like to see some real gun control as well, but if a Democrat / Progressive decides they should have a gun I do not think they are being hypocritical if they get one. Not in a country that is overrun with guns that many people should not even have access to and a RW propaganda machine that tacitly urges them to use them.

"Why be unarmed target practice for the MAGAs?" does imply something, whether it was meant to or not. Intention and impact can, unfortunately, be quite different things.

Leaving that aside, it does sound as if we are on the same page about a lot of things.

That's meant more to be a warning because that's how I think many MAGAs see Dems. Metaphorically and realistically.

Choose your own defense strategy, but just watch your back with these people.

the shooters will only try to take them out first...........

And if you arm the Blacks, it will give the cops just more phony justification to take them out. Just look at the rate they take out unarmed blacks for doing nothing but driving while black, or walking thru their own neighborhood while black........

A civilian carrying around a pistol is questionable enough, but any private citizen being allowed to pack around an assault weapon is pure insanity........
