Major COVID outbreak in Florida, Desantis is nowhere to be found, later claims his absence is due to his wife's cancer treatments.
Major flooding in Florida, Desantis is nowhere to be found in Florida, in Ohio for a book tour.

Anyone see a pattern here?

they love him in Florida.
2/3 approval rating.
The rest of the country just doesn't see him as we do.

the majority of Floridians support him.
He is very popular in your State.
It is sad but true.
We would make a mistake not to take him seriously nationally.

But apparently the people of Florida just loves them some Ron DeSantis, and everything he does is wildly popular with everyone.

6. No. You are wrong. Not everyone in Florida loves DeSantis.

There are almost 5 million registered Democrats in Florida. That number is greater than the total population of about half of the states in the union. Progressives need to be supporting Florida Democrats, not dismissing us, or lumping us in with the Republicans.

Democrats damning other Democrats by using terms like "everyone" is not helpful to our cause. People may want to be careful about ignoring Florida Democrats, there may come a day when we are needed.

9. It is time that Democrats start thinking about the messages that they send.

Floridians do not need the messaging from other Democrats that we do not matter anymore.

11. I live in North Carolina. We had a GREAT senate candidate in Cheri Beasley.

She almost won with NO help from the democratic party until they finally contributed at the very end. Way too little, way too late.

I get what you're saying. But, no, we don't have NEARLY the number of Electoral votes that Florida has. The Dems really need to start fighting and fighting hard in Florida. AND Texas.

Damn shame Jeff Jackson did not run for Senate in 2020. Instead you got stuck with sexting scandal Cunningham who blew a lead against the hapless halfwit Tillis because old Cal thought with his bellend and not his brain. Foxx or Stein would have likely won as well.

Hopefully Jackson runs in 2026.

I fully admit I am still so bitter over multiple US Senate races in 2020 (and one that also was in 2018) where the best candidate refused to run

NC (see above)

ME (Stephen King refusing to run, plus Gideon being a non native Mainer (huge deal there) plus Manchin endorsing the POS Susan Collins which she flaunted to show her fake as fuck 'bi-partisanship' bona fides)

TN (2020 and especially 2018. Tim McGraw TWICE refusing to run for OPEN seats after saying for years he would run for Senate once he turned 50. 2018 was the Blue Wave, and the POS numpty white nationalist, chrisotfash hag Blackburn would have likely went down in flames).

KS (Sebelius refusing to run after most every local expert said she was not only the only Dem who could win (it was another open seat too) but that she would be the favourite)

AK (we didn't even field a Democratic candidate against the vulnerable Sullivan).

Then MT and IA, where Bullock and Greenfield (who was also NOT the best candidate, Axne and/or Vilsack both would have been stronger) were leading until they both got dunked on late with tens of millions in RW dark monety, and the national Dem apparatus left them hanging out to dry. Also we shit away over 100 million dollars on fantasyland wish fulfilment emotion-driven races we were never going to win: the big 3: TX, KY, SC, and also ME (once King refused to run, the non native Gideon won the Dem primary, and Manchin endorsed Collins, the die was cast, but SO much wasted , never spent money still flowed in and was never redirected). AL as well, to a smaller degree.

And if we don't get it straightened out, we're going to let this whole country go fascist. You can see it with the abortion issues and the voting blockades.

My hopes are all on the youngsters now. I will do most anything to support our young candidates, and help the rest of them get out to vote.

I will gladly cheer on Floridians who oppose DeSantis and his Republican minions, but there don't seem to be very many of them or that their efforts have been very effective. The rest of the country would like to see some results.

How smart is it to tell five million of us that the people of our party has written us off? Maybe our money and support should go to a third party.

DeSantis polled 4.6 million votes in 2022 and won by a landslide. Where were these 5 million voters on election day 2022? Getting their nails done? It sounds like Florida's Democrats have written themselves off by not going to the polls. But sure, Democrats across the country should forego contributing to winnable races to make Florida's no-shows feel better about themselves while their candidates get another pasting. No thanks.

I've voted in every election since McGovern's run, and I still take exception to that comment.

Perhaps we can force our way into people's homes and force them to vote.

Yeah, lets try that.
