You never stop missing them, but it’s especially difficult when you are so young, like you were.
With time, your parent draws closer to you in spirit and in your mind and you can remember them with less sadness and more happy memories, but, for children, the grief is always there.
For a brief moment my surly mood lightened.
Back to being pissed off.
