(21,615 posts)I miss him every single day and it has been decades since he passed. To me was my dad, not a member of a political party. I loved him so much.

(19,382 posts)I guess I mean that it will be hard for them, but the mind has a way to get you functional while still having wonderful memories and missing the heck out of them.
CottonBear
(21,615 posts)You never stop missing them, but its especially difficult when you are so young, like you were.
With time, your parent draws closer to you in spirit and in your mind and you can remember them with less sadness and more happy memories, but, for children, the grief is always there.

Wish they'd withdraw his insurance then he would die. How many of us could get the care he gets?
Keeping that malignant creep alive is a waste of insurance money.
Let him die already!!

There used to be a blog called Is Dick Cheney dead yet? It was intended to be a place where you could go and see if Dick Cheney was dead yet, but they eventually got tired of running it and have moved on to other things.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
