Weather alerts via Twitter no longer dependable FIND ALTERATE SOURCES

This tweet from the St. Louis National Weather Service is just one of the multitude of tweets going out all across the country.

"Twitter is now limiting automated tweets and as a result this account can no longer post all watches/warnings/advisories as they are issued. We will continue to provide general updates, but ensure that you have multiple means for receiving weather information & alerts."

Who can say when the elongated muskrat will change things on a whim again, or the system will just degrade due to unforseen interactions with other untested changes.

If people aren't making some sort of contingancy plans to migrate away from twitter, then they're not really planning wisely.

site in the country. One feature enables me to select my county and I get the next seven days of reports. Find that any reports much past 36 hours in advance get progressively less accurate, 'tho.

Or any fool depending on twitter for news that is true.

Ah, the good old days...remember when everyone on DU with a twitter account was going to QUIT as soon as Musk took over?

I'm still laughing.
